Does B&G Make Left Handed Guitars?
Yes! There are four left handed B&G guitars from the Crossroads range that are available at the time of writing. And what beauties they are!!
Not only that; you can also have existing B&G guitars customized to your specification by choosing from several different options on the B&G Private Build guitar builder.
B&G guitars are known for producing guitars influenced by classic designs from the early 1920s to the mid-1950s and creating unique, perfectly-balanced, quality-sounding guitars.
Artists who’ve played B&G guitars include lefty blues guitarist Eric Gales and Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh.

Who Are B&G Guitars?
Based out of Tel Aviv, Israel, B&G Guitars began in 2007 when expert luthiers Eliran Barashi & Yotam “Kiki” Goldstein (the “B” and the “G” of the name) along with artist and entrepreneur Avi Goldfinger decided to create gimmick-free guitars of the highest quality, with an equally high-quality sound.
Barashi and Goldstein first met on a guitar-building course; they found they both shared a love of vintage instruments and thus began by experimenting with different instruments brought to them for restoration or setup, creating their own replicas using the very same woods, electronics, and finishes.
This extensive research of golden era guitar designs and traditional build techniques combines classic vintage guitars of the ’20s and ’30s with features of the ’50s electric guitars to create their own fantastically unique instruments.
Their aim was to craft the best possible sounding guitars they could, combining Barashi’s love of the electric guitar with Goldstein’s passion for acoustic.

“If it’s not perfect to our ears, it doesn’t leave the shop.”
What Do I Think of B&G Guitars?
I first became aware of B&G Guitars back in 2018, when I saw this advert for them on YouYube featuring a cover version of Ricky Nelson’s Lonesome Town.
I was transfixed! The sound emanating from the guitars on show in these videos sounded amazing to me; I wanted to keep watching and listening!
B&G do everything themselves, in-house, from winding their own pickups to casting their own brass hardware and mixing their own paint.
The attention to detail and the amount of research that’s gone into these guitars is very thorough, and the resulting guitars seem like works of art! I want one!
Different Types of B&G Guitars
B&G guitars are made across three different ranges:
- Crossroads – Production line versions of B&G’s Private Build series, manufactured in China to stringent quality controls.
- Private Build – Hand crafted in Tel Aviv, Israel by master luthiers, these are B&G’s most luxurious models built to the highest standards.
- Custom Order – Custom B&G guitars. Using B&G’s Guitar Builder, you can choose from various options and materials to create your perfect guitar. And yes, they’ll build you a lefty version for you too!

Left Handed B&G Electric Guitars
You can get most Private Build guitars specially built in lefty configuration, but if B&G’s custom order guitars are a little expensive for you, you can see what they have off-the-rack.

Left Handed B&G Acoustic Guitars
Although B&G make acoustic guitars, none of them are available in left handed orientation at the time of writing.
Left Handed B&G Basses
B&G makes one bass guitar. Unfortunately, it’s not available in left handed orientation at the time of writing.
Final Thoughts
So there you have it; three different models at the time of writing. Not too bad, really.
You can of course have a left handed private build model made especially. As with any guitar company that offer hand-crafted guitars, there is an added premium to be paid!
